Can I renew my CDL online?
No, only Class C driver licenses are eligible for online renewal at this time.
Can I update my organ donor status during an online renewal?
Yes, organ donor status can be managed during the renewal process.
Using myNCDMV, users can:
- Choose to remain an organ donor.
- Register as an organ donor.
- Remove your organ donor status.
I don’t have a Real ID. Can I request one during an online renewal?
No, you cannot apply online for your first Real ID. Once you have a Real ID, renewals may be done online. To obtain a first-time Real ID, you must go in-person to a local NCDMV office.
I don’t need my motorcycle endorsement. Can I remove it during an online renewal?
Yes, you can remove your motorcycle endorsement during an online renewal. Keep in mind, once the endorsement is removed you must go to a driver license office to re-add it.
I am no longer hearing impaired. Can I remove the restriction during an online renewal?
Yes, you can remove your hearing impairment restriction during an online renewal. Keep in mind, once the restriction is removed you must go to a driver license office to re-add the restriction.
I was recently diagnosed as hearing impaired. Can I add that to my license during an online renewal?
No, a hearing impairment restriction cannot be added during an online renewal. To add this impairment, please visit a local NCDMV office.
